High School Success

"Place before your eyes as models for imitation, not the weak and cowardly, but the fervent and courageous."

St. Ignatius students receive a well-rounded education that helps them succeed in managing the demands of high school. Ongoing Graduate Support during high school is another reason why SIS alumni graduate from high school at more than twice the rate of their public school peers.

We believe that a strong middle school program is essential to success in high school, college, and beyond.  Each year, many of our students will receive substantial if not full scholarships to the schools of their choice in recognition of how well prepared and deserving Saint Ignatius students are.  In cases where a high school’s financial aid package is insufficient, SIS will often provide additional financial support. The investment in these children pays off richly:  from 2012-2018, 97% of SIS alumni have graduated from high school in four years, compared to 35% of their Hunts Point public school peers. Over the same time frame, 88% of SIS alumni enrolled in college after high school graduation, compared to 23% of peers in the neighborhood.

High School Success

The embedded social and academic skills coupled with sustainable support equip St. Ignatius students with the tools necessary to accelerate their preparation for college.
