St. Ignatius School Community Comes Together for Bronx Bound 5K
We had the best time running with our SIS community at the 2026 Bronx Bound 5K on Saturday, May 3, bringing together students, families, and supporters for a joyful morning of movement.
We are deeply grateful to Fordham University’s Center for Community Engaged Learning for hosting, and our generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers whose support made the day possible. Most of all, it was inspiring to see our students and families at the heart of the event, running and cheering one another on.
Every step taken in the 5K supports St. Ignatius School’s mission to expand access to tuition-free Jesuit education in the South Bronx. It was especially meaningful to stand alongside the wider network of Jesuit schools across the New York area, whose presence and encouragement continue to strengthen our shared commitment to students.
We extend our thanks to our Jesuit partners who joined us in this effort, including Fordham University, Fordham Preparatory School, Xavier High School, Regis High School, Loyola School, Cristo Rey New York High School, Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, Saint Peter’s Prep, and the Cornelia Connelly Center.
