Jesuit Middle School

Another Successful Summer Leadership Program in the Books!

This past weekend, we welcomed back our middle school students from the SIS Summer Leadership Program! Over the course of five weeks, our students engaged in a dynamic mix of learning and adventure, spending two weeks at SIS and three weeks at Lake Placid, NY.

In addition to academic enrichment which was particularly useful for our incoming sixth-graders, SIS students embraced outdoor adventures like hiking, swimming, and canoeing. They also participated in sports competitions, campfire gatherings, karaoke nights, and even produced and filmed an original movie under the direction of Dean of Faculty and ELA teacher, Mr. Jim Malone, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. At the end of camp, many students received leadership awards for their dedication and growth.

The SIS Summer Leadership Program experience embodies the Jesuit tenet of “cura personalis,” or care for the whole person, nurturing our students’ minds, bodies, and spirits. They returned with newfound confidence, lasting friendships, and a wealth of memories.

Thank you to all the amazing SIS Summer Leadership staff, volunteers, and supporters who made this camp possible. Your dedication provides our students with an invaluable experience that will have a lasting impact on their lives.
